Hello, I’m Yubi.

Born in Seoul, Yubi Lee’s journey has been one of cultural fusion and artistic exploration. From an early age, she traversed the globe, living in Japan, New Zealand, England, and primarily in the United States. This diverse upbringing laid the foundation for her unique perspective on art and life.

Her academic pursuits reflect this eclectic background. In the States, she delved into the world of Fine Arts, honing her skills and nurturing her creativity. Later, she journeyed to London to study Fashion Photography, adding another dimension to her artistic practice.

Currently, she finds herself at the intersection of these varied disciplines, crafting a distinct style that merges elements of painting and fashion photography into captivating mixed media pieces. This synthesis of mediums allows her to explore new realms of expression, creating art that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant.

Her multicultural upbringing as a Korean has deeply influenced her work, inspiring her to seamlessly weave together diverse cultural influences with insights from psychology, discovering the power of selfhood. Through her art, photography, and fashion design, she aims to bridge divides and celebrate the beauty of acceptance, inviting viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of themselves, and ultimately of the world.

“At the core of my creative practice is a therapeutic journey—a search through the unconscious to reconnect with my inner child, where vulnerability meets untapped potential. My art becomes a mirror for this inner landscape, revealing hidden truths and personal power.

Hanbok, the traditional Korean garment, is central to my work. It not only honors my cultural roots but also becomes a canvas for reinvention—blending tradition with contemporary identity and personal narrative.

Drawing inspiration from gardens and the ocean, my dreamlike landscapes reflect the shifting, layered nature of the unconscious and feminine beauty. The tension between materials mirrors my own process of excavation and transformation—shaping new archetypes through vulnerability and self-reflection.

My work is a testament to the healing force of creativity. I invite viewers to join this journey inward, to discover their own depths and the quiet strength that lies within.”
