Hello, I’m Yubi.

Born in Seoul, Yubi has lived in Japan, New Zealand, England, and the United States—each place leaving an imprint on how she sees and creates. This multicultural journey forms the foundation of her artistic language, where diverse influences harmonize through personal and emotional narratives.

Yubi earned her BFA in Fine Arts in Tulsa, Oklahoma, developing a strong technical and visual foundation. In London, she studied Fashion Photography, expanding her understanding of composition, fashion history, and storytelling. Later, she completed an MFA in Painting at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) in Atlanta, where she began merging these disciplines into a unified mixed media practice.

Today, Yubi’s work intertwines painting, photography, and mixed materials to explore identity, the inner child, and the unconscious. Rooted in her Korean heritage and shaped by cross-cultural experiences, her art creates visual dialogues between inner and outer worlds—revealing the beauty of self-acceptance and the interconnectedness that unites us all.

SCAD(Savannah College of Art and Design)에서 회화 MFA를 취득하며, 회화와 사진을 결합한 혼합 매체 작업을 발전시켰습니다.

My artistic journey, deeply inspired by Carl Jung, leads me to reconnect with my inner child and the hidden landscapes within. Through photo collage, molding paste, dried flowers, and paint, I transform fragments of my unconscious into visual expressions of healing and self-discovery.
Rooted in reverence for Hanbok, I reinterpret this traditional Korean attire as a contemporary form of expression—bridging heritage, modernity, and personal narrative. My works, inspired by gardens and the ocean, explore the fluidity of emotion and the quiet resilience of growth. “Eternal Growth” reflects the enduring dialogue between decay and renewal—life continuously unfolding from stillness and sorrow into new inner gardens.
