As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. Modern Modesty 4

This editorial associates with two characteristics of modesty which are solitary and purity. Young generation of consumers are constantly checking and decorating their appearance; we are obsessed with being busy interacting with unseen people in the small screens.  Throughout the day, we are crammed by too much information that distracts a lifestyle that cannot be ‘solitary.’  Here, a modest women who appreciates silence in her solitariness without any disruption; she is wise in terms of accepting and blocking things in her life and staying ‘pure.’

The Alabaster

For BeauNU Magazine 2018 October Issue:

Confidence comes from humility, just as the metaphor of the women who broke the Alabaster with tears. The alabaster breaks, the fragrance fills the room and the people in the room can smell the beautiful sacrifice. She, ultimately, has become the broken alabaster itself. Confidence is not stepping on others and going to the higher place, that is arrogance and pride. The true confidence comes from humble heart knowing how to serve, to lay down, to be low. This editorial depicts the beauty of hidden confidence of woman that should be portrayed.

“A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.” (Luke 7:37-38)

The Lantern

Modest Love

Modest Love Project

 This project commemorates everyday relationships where love comes the ultimate reason to love the spouse/sibling/somebody in life at the end of the day. The love that never gives up, waits, and covers all the flaws comes down from one and only Savior, Jesus Christ.

Women are unconsciously urged to be strong, independent, and well-functioned. However, women's inner qualities- are meant to be soft and fragile just as newly washed bed sheets. Here, women are becoming like a broken washing machine unable to fake themselves to look strong as the standards of this society. This editorial displays pastel not only as the delicacy and softness of women's internal beauty but as a fashion to express in appearance. These photos commemorate to those women who do not fear to show their gender-given beauties to the world without being 'broken-down.'

The merge of summer into the steady spring resembles the soft courage of women who allows themselves into a new garden, a new land, and a new opportunity of season. The garden may still be closed doors, however, these photos commemorate those who strive to be the "summer," and the life, to the world without them. Women are fragile and sensitive, however, these delicate internal qualities are what connects women to the charms of the season. This poetic editorial metaphors the vitality of women and the light that summer brings into the new garden that we are ready to enter, very soon.

*Finding the lost 'modesty' in female clothing in current era. Transporting back Korea's traditional style and collaborating with antique, long petite skirts and everyday modern clothing. Recovering female's low self-esteem in this generation that put females as sex objects too often. Wrapping wounded females by new form of clothing- Christ's blood and salvation.

*여성들이 현대의 패션에서 크게 잃고 있는것 중 하나. 수수함이라고 생각한다. 짧고, 딱 맞고, 불편한 옷들이 유행하는 가운데 옷이 여성을 맞추는지 여성들이 옷을 맞추는지 모르는 가운데 높은 자존감은 어디로 갔나. 꼭 신체가 드러나는것이 아름다운걸까? 가장 아름다운것은, 자주 보이지 않는 법. 인간이 만들수 없는 가장 큰 요소 자연과 꽃으로 하나님의 아름다우심을 상징하며 예수 그리스도의 새로운 소망안에 높은 자존감 뿐만 아니라 새 생명을 발견하는 여성들을 기대하며 계획한 컬렉션이다. 다양한 인종의 여성들이 한복의 미로 뿜어내는 다른 매력들에 다시한번 모던화될 한복을 기대한다.

가장 친한 사람을 내 패션 모델로 삼는다는것. 나쁘지 않았어...ㅎㅎ 흔쾌히 꽃가루도 뒤집어 쓰고 이쁜 광대 주홍색으로 살려줘서 고마워. 입술이 이렇게 두꺼운줄 몰랐어. 늘 나의 사진에 큰 힘이 되어주고, 무엇이나 말할수 있는 대나무숲이 되어줘서 고마워. 다음에 또 부를게!
